O Liga de Favela é um projeto social que tem a missão de proporcionar visibilidade à cultura do futebol de várzea das periferias de Porto Alegre. Por meio do processo organizativo e de mapeamento dos clubes e campos da capital gaúcha, o projeto almeja estimular e engrandecer a cultura varzeana, expandindo a sua expressão e acesso cultural através de conteúdos audiovisuais relacionados à sua comunidade e tradição, promovendo a diversidade e a inclusão.

Liga de Favela is a social project whose misson is providing visibility to the culture of street football in the peripheries of the city of Porto Alegre. Through the organizational and mapping process of the city's clubs and football fields, the project aims to stimulate and enhance street culture, expanding its expression and cultural access by the production of audiovisual content related to their community and tradition, promoting diversity and inclusion.

O símbolo é uma junção de quatro elementos visuais que representam aspectos essenciais do projeto: a silhueta da favela; a bola de futebol; uma taça, ou troféu; e o pin, símbolo usado nos aplicativos de mapeamento. As cores remetem ao Brasil e à cultura brasileira, e seu o aspecto terroso dá enfoque às comunidades marginalizadas.

The symbol is a junction of four visual elements that represent essencial aspects of the project, silhouette of a favela; a football; a trophy; and a pin, the symbol used on mapping apps. The colors reffer to Brazil and the brazilian culture, and its earthy tone gives focus to the marginalized communities.
